May promises to be an especially festive month in the UK with the Coronation celebrations and an abundance of Bank Holidays to look forward to. The Trust is delighted to add to the festivities with our event From Studio to Stage on 14th May at The Royal Ballet School. Tickets are selling quickly, so do book now!

The Trust’s commitment to supporting young dancers and teachers continues. There are exciting opportunites for students to apply for Student Summer Study Bursaries and to learn more about auditioning for the Cecchetti Scholars. Teachers are also invited to apply for a 2023 Teacher Study Bursary. Details of all these opportunities are given below.

From Studio to Stage

Cecchetti Society Trustees cordially invite you to attend From Studio to Stage on 14th May 2023 at The Royal Ballet School, Covent Garden - 13.00 - 17.30. The afternoon will showcase aspects of work the Trust supports, including performances by the Cecchetti Scholars and the 2022/23 Vocational Award winners. We are delighted to welcome Laura Morera, Principal of The Royal Ballet coaching company dancers in solos from Frederick Ashton’s Cinderella, and Gerald Dowler who will be interviewing Brandon Lawrence, Principal, Birmingham Royal Ballet about his fascinating career. There will also be the opportunity to join Trustees and guests for Afternoon Tea and a glass of fizz! Student Summer Study Bursaries
Application Deadline
20th May 2023!

Don’t miss the deadline of Saturday 20th May 2023 for your students to apply for a Cecchetti Society Trust Student Summer Study Bursary. The Trust is offering these bursaries to support young dancers who are attending a Cecchetti Summer School, or intensive course of Cecchetti study, in the coming months. Applications are welcolmed from students from the UK or Internationally. Students must be aged 12 - 21 years by the 31st August 2023 and studying at ISTD Cecchetti Grade 6/Intermediate Foundation level or higher. Teacher Study Bursaries 2023
Applications Welcome

The Trust has been pleased to be able to support 9 teachers who recently applied for a Teacher Study Bursary - the applicants were from the UK, Ireland and Italy studying at a range of levels from DDE to Diploma. Some funding is still available in the Trust bursary allocation, so if you have planned study that will take place in 2023 and wish to apply, please click on the link below for further information and an application form. NB Applications must be returned to admin@cecchettisocietytrust.org by 20th June 2023.

Cecchetti Scholars Auditions

Applications Open!

The Cecchetti Classical Ballet Scholarship Scheme offers talented young dancers outstanding training and performance opportunities. The scheme is funded by the Cecchetti Society Trust and organised by the Cecchetti Society Classical Ballet Faculty, ISTD. Applications are now open for the Cecchetti Scholars Auditions for entry for the academic year 2023/24. The Auditions will take place on: Saturday 17th June - 13:00pm onwards - Arts Educational School, Chiswick London.
